"Hau Kola" Hello! I hope everyone is well upon
reading my New Blog! My last Blog left off in February with me preparing for a
2.5 week tour to Germany for wrestling and some vacation time. My wife was also
excited because she was also heading to Germany with me for her first visit in
the Country of Germany, needless to say she fell in love with the food,
history, site seeing and meeting new friends in Germany! Our tour began by
flying into Frankfurt and staying at a beautiful historical horse ranch with
top of the line accommodations along with great food, great coffee and oh boy
those deserts...it takes will power to stay on your diet in Germany, the
chocolate talks to you!
With one day of rest I was off and running on events
with GHW and then the next day a 50th Birthday Party appearance along
with my wife celebrating hers and my wrestling event that night with ACW. After
these events we had some time off to tour and vacation and that is exactly what
we did. We went to some of the best restaurants in Wiesbaden, Germany, which we
enjoyed some awesome meals with some hearty and actually healthy German Beer.
No wonder the Germans do not like American Beer! Then we headed off to the
famous Amsterdam for a full day of touring. What a City! We then headed back to
our horse ranch in Wiesbaden and after a few days touring around Frankfurt and Wiesbaden,
Germany we headed on the Autobahn to Berlin, Germany. Can you say Porsche,
Mercedes Benz, BMW and Tatanka on the Autobahn with the speed gauge at 170,
lets clarify...that is 170 km/h not 170 mph but that is approximately 110 mph.
Boy was it cool...felt like I was in a James Bond movie. Had my own car and I'm
in a caravan with all these sports cars on the "no speed limit" highway of
Germany!
After arriving in Berlin with my wife stressed...just
kidding, we spend the night and woke up early the next day to tour the huge
City of Berlin, Wow, is there some history in Berlin. What a historical and
beautiful city you will see in the photos we took. We even visited the Egyptian
Museum in Berlin. After our time in Berlin the next day was the official 1st
day of the DWA Legends Tour in Berlin with the following event the next day in Rotenburg,
Germany. It's always a pleasure to see Christian from DWA along with his family
and friends. As always the German fans are awesome, Sold-Out Events with
standing chanting ovations that last for minutes at a time. What a pleasure to
leave all your energy in the ring with your matches and the fans showing their
appreciation.
After our DWA Legends Tour we spent some days in
Wittorf, Germany at a beautiful countryside resort hotel. What peace and quiet!
A few days later we spent some time with Christian's family (Owner of DWA) and
friends at a Greek Restaurant that was just incredible with again some awesome
German Beer. I do not drink beer at home but the few times we drank it in
Germany it was refreshing with great taste. After a few days we were "back on
the road again" heading towards Cologne, Germany. What a massive city and what
a city for the shoppers. It was designer shop after designer shop...Europe at its
best! A lot of history here with the WW2 bombings and everything that was
destroyed but left standing was the Cologne Cathedral, which stretches high
into the heavens and upon seeing the city from far off you can see this
towering Cathedral from far away. It is unbelievable that men could build such
an enormous and beautiful designed building during that era. Of course we did a
lot of shopping this day and again if you have not been to Cologne what an
awesome city to fill your closets with all the latest fashion designs from
Europe. After a full day we headed back home to Wiesbaden to stay our last
night in Germany. The next day was our flight back to the US from Frankfurt,
Germany. What an enormous airport at Frankfurt! My wife and I really enjoyed
our time in Germany and we are both looking forward to upcoming tours that are
being finalized as we speak for the later part of this year and into 2012 in
the month of February. My wife and I want to personally thank Ute from Wiesbaden,
Germany for all her generosity and making sure that our tour was First Class
from premier classy hotels to restaurants that represent the German foods
proudly. In closing, I want to thank all the German fans for their outpouring
of support at wrestling events all throughout Germany. To see photos of our
