WWE Release & Bam Bam Bigelow

"Hau Kola" Hello to all my fans worldwide! Due to the overwhelming response by you the fans, I'm making an official statement and update to both of my sites; those being
NativeTatanka.com and my MySpace Page.

I have asked WWE for my early release so that I may pursue other interests.  Negotiations are not final at this point, but I'm sure we will have things finalized within a week or so. As always I appreciate the thousands of emails that have come in over a very short period of time expressing your thoughts on the character and abilities of Tatanka. When I returned to WWE, I received over a MILLION NEW VISITORS on my NATIVETATANKA.COM site in just a few days, and your visits now to both of my sites are following the same path.

There is one thing for sure, you are loyal Tatanka fans, and I love you for that! It is also nice to hear that the large majority of you expressed that I should have been holding titles already in the short 15 months since my return to WWE. You are the reason why all Professional Wrestlers can go into the squared circle and do what they love to do; to entertain you the fans! As always I have given you the fans 100% in and out of the ring, and it sure is appreciated that you know and realize this.

Bam Bam Bigelow
As you all know the Professional Wrestling business has many factors that can determine a wrestler's character and path to greatness.  At this point of my career I'm very happy to know that my run in the nineties (1991 to late 1996) consisted of a record 2-year undefeated streak with many great Superstars and story lines such as Rick "The Model" Martel, the late Superstar Bam Bam Bigelow who we will all miss and we send the best to his loved ones. My matches with Bam Bam over a year period are some of my most memorable. Other great Superstars I wrestled such as WWE Champion Yokozuna, IRS in a heated issue when he destroyed my sacred headdress and attacked Chief Jay Strongbow. Defeating Shawn Michaels while he was the Intercontinental Champion twice prior to Wrestlemania and then at Wrestlemania 9 in Las Vegas. Then lastly my heel turn with The Million Dollar Man as my manager against Lex Luger that began at Summerslam. I also had the opportunity to wrestle other Superstars such as Bret "The Hitman" Hart, Owen Hart, Razor Ramon, Diesel (Kevin Nash), and The Head Shrinkers (Fatu and Sammy), Jeff Jarrett and the list goes on.

I'm also very proud of the fact that after 9 years I made the return back to the battlefields of WWE at Raw in The Eugene Invitational with also Superstar Kurt Angle.  Even though it has only been 15 months since I signed, I proved that I still had what it takes to compete at the top level and be on the road throughout the US and International Countries for a full year. It was also a pleasure to go into the squared circle with such great Superstars as Chris "The Wolverine" Benoit and go toe to toe from bell to finish. I'm also very proud of the fact that you the fans were able to share with me my journey with my blood brothers of the Lakota Tribe as I became a relative to the Lakota Tribe. Even though I'm from the Lumbee Tribe it was an honor to perform ceremonies that have been handed down for hundreds of years that the Lakota's have performed since the beginning of the first Americans; The Native Americans! It was also a pleasure for the fans to be able to have the ability to purchase the NEW TATANKA ACTION FIGURE, part of the Ruthless Aggression Series #23. Personally, I was not done at WWE but as I expressed prior, there are many factors other than only the wrestler himself that determines the path of his character! There are many Superstars at WWE that I will miss. I send my love and the best to them personally and to the ones that have families all the best to them as well. I will continue to stay in touch with those top tier players as they have also done over the last few days with me.

In closing, I thank the many that have emailed and expressed their thoughts on me possibly leaving the WWE. Many of you have asked who you can speak to at WWE in reference to me. Following is a link to WWE to express those thoughts. Also, I have received an overwhelming response for me to go to TNA, and you the fans have asked whom do you contact to express that TNA needs Tatanka. I thank you the fans that have expressed that if I do go to TNA they will also follow! Below is an email link to TNA to express your thoughts. Lastly, as I expressed before my latest return to WWE, you haven't seen the last of The True Real American, The Native American Tatanka!
