Alaska and More: Tatanka’s Journey

Hau Kola! Hello, my friends! I hope this message finds you well and that the dreams and goals you’ve set for 2001 are moving forward with great success. A new year is a time to leave the past behind and focus on the better and greater things that await us all. I’m excited to share some of my recent adventures and reflections with you.

A Christmas Celebration with Wade Boggs

I ended the 2000 Christmas season with an unforgettable evening at the home of Wade Boggs, the legendary baseball player known for his 3,000th hit—a home run—with the Tampa Devil Rays. Every year, Wade hosts a spectacular Christmas party at his Tampa home, attended by about 500 guests. Everything was done just right, making it a night to remember.

For all you wrestling fans, the event featured several wrestling stars, including Steve Keirn (Doink, Skinner, Gator Keirn), Brian Blair of The Killer Bees, X-Pac, and Bobby Heenan. Wade, a big wrestling fan, was thrilled to have us all there alongside celebrities from various industries. It was a fantastic evening spent with friends during a magical time of year.

The Alaskan Adventure

One of my most memorable trips at the end of 2000 was to Alaska. I’d been to Alaska before with the WWF, but this time I had the opportunity to explore areas I hadn’t visited before and enjoy some sightseeing. If you love nature and open wilderness, Alaska is a must-visit. It’s like the last frontier of untouched beauty, with roaming wildlife, breathtaking landscapes, and a peaceful presence that reminds you of our Creator’s incredible work.

On this trip, I experienced Alaska in winter, and let me tell you, it’s cold—so pack your warm clothes if you go! Some highlights included the Alaskan Pipeline, the majestic glaciers, the famous North Pole (home of Santa Claus), and Mt. McKinley, the highest point in North America at over 20,320 feet. I also had the privilege of spending time with Native American Tribes in Alaska, connecting with my native brothers and sisters. This trip truly deepened my appreciation for the beauty of our world and the Creator’s gifts.

The shows in Alaska, hosted by WWA out of Charlotte, N.C., were held on military bases and drew enthusiastic crowds. I went into battle against the legendary Barbarian, delivering matches that left fans excited and satisfied. It’s always an honor to step into the ring with a true warrior. Another notable name on this tour was Sgt. Craig Pittman, formerly of WCW.

Celebrity Events and More

Recently, I’ve had the opportunity to attend several high-profile events alongside celebrities and wrestling legends. One of these was the NFL vs. AFL Tough Man Contest, which is currently airing on TV. This event featured football greats like Lawrence Taylor, Dexter Manley, Munoz, and “The Fridge” Perry. Representing wrestling were X-Pac and Hawk of L.O.D.

Another event was the Charlie Daniels Angelus Benefit from January 19-22. This fundraiser featured music legends like Molly Hatchet, Exile, Montgomery Gentry, Marshall Tucker Band, and many more. Wrestling stars in attendance included Hulk Hogan, Goldberg, Steve Keirn, Brian Blair, Brian Knobs of The Nasty Boys, and myself. Baseball legend Wade Boggs and Buccaneers player Mike Alstott also participated. It was an incredible night supporting a great cause, with significant contributions from the Seminole Tribe of Florida.

Lastly, I’m looking forward to attending the grand opening of Dan Marino’s Restaurant in Bay Walk, St. Petersburg, Florida. This Friday’s event will include Dan Marino, NFL stars, and other celebrities like Gary Sheffield. Wade Boggs and his family, along with Brian Blair and his family, plan to attend, and other wrestling Superstars have been invited. I’ll share more details about this event in my next update.

Looking Ahead

As we move into 2001, I wish you all the best and hope that you achieve the desires of your heart. Whether it’s in your personal life, career, or spiritual journey, may this year be one of growth, success, and blessings. Thank you for your continued support, and as always, God bless you all.
