Patchwork and the Fall: Tatanka’s Latest Adventures
Hau Kola! Hello, my friends! I hope your summer has been everything you wished it to be. As we transition into fall, I want to share my excitement for this time of year. From NFL football for the sports fans to the beautiful changing leaves, cooler weather, and the holiday season, fall is truly special. And let’s not forget the world of professional wrestling—a time when I, the Native American Tatanka, have been hard at work preparing for big events!
Recently, I flew back from a personal appearance in Plattsburgh, New York, at Ed and Mike’s Shop in the Champlain Centres. The event was fantastic, and I want to thank all the fans who turned out to show their support. Special thanks go out to my native brothers from the Mohawk Tribe who visited with their families, and to John Lahart and his team from North Country Championship Wrestling for organizing the event. Your efforts made my stay in New York truly memorable.
A New Section on NATIVETATANKA.COM
Exciting news, fans! My webmaster, Al Isaacs, and I are adding a brand-new section to NATIVETATANKA.COM. This section will feature hours of my classic matches from the WWF. Relive epic battles like my match against Shawn Michaels for the Intercontinental Title at WrestleMania 9, Survivor Series clashes with Rick “The Model” Martel, tag team matches alongside The Steiner Brothers against Money Inc., and encounters with The Warlord, Repo Man, and The Berzerker. You’ll also find interviews, highlights from my undefeated streak in the WWF, and footage of the historic moment when that streak ended at the hands of Borga, Mr. Fuji, and Yokozuna.
Stay tuned for this incredible addition to the site, which will bring back so many great memories for fans of Tatanka and the WWF. Don’t miss it!
Seminole Patchwork: A Unique Art Form
I’m also excited to share news about our Seminole Patchwork Project. Vince Simmons of Hopoya and I have been exploring ways to bring this unique Native American art to the mainstream market. Seminole Patchwork has been a cultural tradition since the 1800s, created and mastered by members of the Seminole Tribe. This art form is entirely handmade, making each piece one-of-a-kind and impossible to replicate.
Our vision is to bring Seminole Patchwork to the world through items like jeans, jackets, ties, cooking aprons, pot holders, bedspreads, scarves, and more. Some examples will feature full-blown traditional designs, while others will adapt to modern styles, such as patchwork accents on jean pockets or hems. This fusion of tradition and modern fashion aims to introduce a broader audience to the beauty of Seminole craftsmanship.
We need your input! Head to our message boards and share your thoughts on this project. Your suggestions will help shape how we bring Seminole Patchwork to life for a worldwide audience. Whether it’s ideas for products or feedback on designs, your voice matters. Let’s make this a collaborative effort to showcase the art and legacy of the Seminole Tribe.
Upcoming Wrestling Action and More
This September, I’ll be visiting the native lands of the Seminoles for two nights of wrestling action on the 7th and 8th. These events will feature other Native American wrestlers and legends from the wrestling world. It’s going to be a true “War Party” and an unforgettable experience for fans. If you’re in the area, don’t miss this opportunity to join the Pow Wow on the Seminole reservation.
Additionally, I’ve been hard at work expanding NATIVETATANKA.COM with new essays, interviews, and features. You can now find an archive of my interviews with promotions worldwide, answering questions directly from fans. These interviews offer insight into my career and personal journey, providing a deeper connection to the Native American Tatanka. Don’t wait—click the interview link on my homepage and dive in.
Wrestling With God: A Must-Read Book
Earlier this year, I had the honor of contributing to the book “Wrestling With God.” This project features stories from wrestling legends like Sting, The Million Dollar Man, Brian Blair, and more. It explores their personal lives and how faith has impacted their journeys in professional wrestling. My story opens the book, setting the tone for an inspiring read that promises to be a success. Don’t miss your chance to own a copy, available soon at major retailers worldwide.
Thank You, Fans
As always, I want to thank you for your unwavering support. We continue to grow NATIVETATANKA.COM to bring you the best content and experiences possible. Keep visiting the site, sharing your feedback, and joining me on this incredible journey.
Pilamia Yelo Thank you and God bless!
