Touring Canada: Wrestling Success on Native Grounds
Recently, my career has kept me busy with shows, personal appearances, and new business ventures. My last commentary discussed my successful United Kingdom tour, which included 52 shows in 60 days. One of my latest tours took me to Canada, where I visited Winnipeg, a city packed with loyal WWF fans. This tour featured three shows, two of which were held on Native American Reservations and sold out to capacity.
The weather was definitely a change from sunny Florida—a biting 80 below zero with snow! But thanks to my native blood and childhood spent in a four-season state, I handled it just fine. The tour was a tremendous success, and I’m excited to return to the Winnipeg area soon. During this visit, we taped TV segments and signed a deal to bring professional wrestling featuring Native American talent to tribes throughout Canada and possibly into the United States.
Honoring Native Culture at the Seminole Pow Wow
One of my cherished annual events is the Seminole Tribe of Florida’s Pow Wow. This year’s event honored Ruby Tiger Osceola, the grandmother of the Seminoles, who turned 106! Tribes from all over the world came together to celebrate. The Pow Wow was filled with Native American arts and crafts, delicious food, and traditional clothing.
I had the pleasure of meeting many fans at my official booth during the event. If you’re ever in Florida in March, don’t miss this incredible cultural experience held in Tampa each year. It’s an opportunity to immerse yourself in Native American values, beliefs, and traditions.
Meeting the Legends: Hulk Hogan and Brian Blair
In late March, I had the opportunity to catch up with Hulk Hogan, who has been enjoying tremendous success in the WWF. We met at a political event hosted by Hulk and Howard Franklin to support Brian Blair—known as part of the Killer Bee Tag Team in the WWF—who is running for County Commissioner of Hillsborough County. If you’re in the area, I encourage you to meet Brian Blair and see why he’s the top choice for the job.
Upcoming Events: Big Moves on the Horizon
I’m currently preparing for some exciting upcoming events. I’ll be appearing at the Indian and Gaming Casino Convention this month and finalizing a major event in Atlantic City on June 22nd. This Pay-Per-View event will feature big names and promises to be a massive success. Stay tuned to NATIVETATANKA.COM for more details as we get closer.
Looking ahead, I’ll be part of an international Pay-Per-View event in Taiwan later this July. For my loyal fans who haven’t seen me live recently, this is your chance to catch all the action!
